On Sunday, May 17 at 5:00 PM, 20th Century Wolf presents a fast-paced comedy-variety show created by award-winning director/producer and founder of FYD, Sue Wolf and hosted by stand-up comic and foreign-policy pundit Bill Hartung, at the Caveat Room, New York City.

100% of streaming tickets and 50% of in-person tickets will go to benefit “Foster Your Dream” our beloved non-profit public benefit corporation that focuses on enriching lives for foster kids and their families and/or caregivers!

So a golden opportunity (and no excuse not to support us) cuz you can buy a streaming ticket for a teeny $10.00 amount from anywhere in the world here to support us here: Click.

“We created a rich mix of stand-up comedy, satire, and sketches with live music because the state of the world is, frankly, exhausting” said Wolf who added “what better way to heal the world and help foster children at the same time, right?”

Headliner Jimmy Tingle, a legendary Boston comic who ran for LT. Governor, mixes it up with comedians Kristal Adams and Nicole Aboujaoudé, with “stick-figure news-updates” by humor contributor to the New Yorker Tim Cahill and music by Tom Lehrer interpreted by Donovan Counts and Ren Ragsdale.

“Doomscrolling can ruin your day—so come to our cabaret,” Hartung added. “You definitely want to be there for the debut of the next big thing in comedy-variety shows.”

Wolf, who’s producing credits include comedy programming for HBO, Comedy Central and the New York stage started “Foster Your Dream” 18 years ago and says “We’re building a space where disgruntled humans can gather and heal through humor and help others! So come help us in community and give to the approximately 27,000 children who pass through foster care during any given year. Funds that aid them upon emancipation are being cut so you can help and laugh while giving smiles to Foster kids by buying tickets here: click.

Hartung, whose work includes an award-winning one-person show and the book The Trillion Dollar War Machine, joins Wolf in launching what they describe as the first in a continuing series of live comedy-cabaret events responding to today’s cultural moment and giving back to foster families.

Presented at Caveat—New York’s home for “intelligent night-out” entertainment—Comedy Cabaret for Disgruntled Humans revives the spirit of classic variety performance while speaking directly to today’s moments, both good and bad.

The performance will be presented live in person and via livestream.

100% of livestream tickets and 50% percent of live-show proceeds will benefit Foster Your Dream, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting foster youth, one dream at a time, through the arts and opportunities that state-parenting does not provide.

BAM Hosts 33 FOSTER YOUR DREAM families to modern HAMLET!

Thanks BAM for inviting so many Brooklyn Families to see a very special performance of HAMLET!

It’s the British version starring Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) with no costumes or sets due to the shipping route changes! How exciting for our families to see an unplugged version in such a gorgeous theatre!

It’s not hard to imagine what their experience was when we see how rehearsals looked.

Thanks to Tim Dugger for gathering the families and getting names and organizing the lucky theatergoers. Thanks to Dewonnie Frederick for always thinking of Foster Your Dream!

FOSTER YOUR DREAM 11th TOY DRIVE HUGE SUCCESS!

WE STARTED OUT HUMBLY … WITH THE BOX DECORATED BY SANDRA GARNI!

AND RECEIVED 474 TOYS, 96 BOOKS AND 24 SETS OF HAND MADE HATS AND SCARVES.

GATHERED IN 4 LOCATIONS … DELIVERED TO SEVERAL LOCATIONS INCLUDING ACS’S SANTA’S WORKSHOP!

MANY THANKS TO OUR ANGELS SANDRA, KARISHMA, SHAY, JERMAINE PILGRIM, ELIJAH, JACOB, MARK(s), JAMES, SONIA GALARZA. CANDY MARTINEZ AND HER CROCHET/KNITTING GROUP!

We couldn’t do this without so many people. These toys will go to foster children during 2026. When they get pulled out of their houses they are often scared and sad. These toys will be given to them so your donations literally give SMILES to children, through no fault of their own, are put in a system where the Government is in charge of raising them until they are adopted or reunited with the family who’s neglect or abuse landed them in Foster Care. You are all angels. Thank you.

FOSTER YOUR DREAM 11th ANNUAL TOY DRIVE!

ELIJAH, an emancipated Foster Youth, speaks out about gathering toys during the holidays for children all year long. As you know, children get pulled out of their homes 365 days a year. They come to the children’s center alone and scared. We use the Holidays to encourage folks to gather toys for Foster Your Dream but we give the toys to the children when arrive hoping to put a smile on their often teary faces. Please ….

We’ve lost our office space in midtown for now so stay tuned where you can send toys.

Well, we managed to collect 474 toys and 91 books in three locations and many of you donated from the link below and we bought books and toys with your donations! THANK YOU THANK YOU.

OR….DONATE

FOSTER YOUR DREAM 10TH ANNUAL TOY DRIVE BIGGEST EVER!

THANKS to all you amazing people we collected 485 toys for foster children and their families to be given out all year ’round as needed! We use the holiday time to entice the ‘giving spirit’ to donate our way and this year we did better than ever. We had so many toys that we couldn’t display them this year. But here are some shots of your amazing GIFTS.

Sandra and I delivered them to Sonia Galarza from ACS downtown on Williams Street! She will distribute them to group homes, Families on the bubble of losing their children and little ones who arrive having been taken from their homes. Please know your contributions are priceless and we are so incredibly grateful for your donations. THANK YOU! ♥️

From one lone mailed in donation to 19 (2 more than the video below!) clear plastic bags filled with 285 precious toys, Sandra Garni, Mark Carson Selman and all the wonderful folks at the Bar Building and in my building, we had the wildest success ever. Enjoy the photos below. We are so grateful.
